Rita Chui has joined Identification & Management (IDM) as an Editor since its inception in 2013, leading the team to cover a wide range of feature topics like smart payment, NFC, IoT, M2M, card issuance and eID. Prior to her current capacity, Rita had acquired broad knowledge through her career in marketing and international business development in different industries, namely security, marketing agency, event management, property development, education & community service etc.
Of particular interest was her dedication in serving manufacturers in the fields of electronic security, video transmission over fibre and access control, and her substantial experience in international trade show marketing and conference management. Her impressive exposure to different industries greatly supports her understanding of and approach to the industry development IDM covers.
Rita graduated from Monash University, Australia with a Master in Marketing and is an accredited translator (Chinese to English) by NAATI, Australia. She is completely fluent in Mandarin (Putonghua) and English.
Greg Pote is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA), the business association for secure smart chip technology applications in Asia. The association provides services to organisations in the smart card, smart device, contactless, mobile contactless/NFC, ePassport, M2M and IOT businesses.
Since 1997 APSCA has organised over 135 events, seminars, trainings and conferences across 12 countries in Asia focusing on the business and technology for smart cards, smart objects and smart devices. Many of these events were co-organised with government agencies, payment organisations, transport departments and mobile operators.
APSCA has one of the largest business networks in Asia with over 11,000 smart card industry executives from end-users and suppliers, including senior decision-makers from government agencies, banks, credit card companies, transport operators and revenue collectors, mobile operators and merchants responsible for issuing, accepting and processing millions of smart cards, smart devices, contactless cards and ePassports..
Greg is a jury member for the Cartes Paris, as well as the NFC Forum & WIMA Global Competition. He has spoken at over 150 conferences and forums around the world, written numerous reports and is a well-known industry figure. Prior to APSCA, Greg gainedover thirteen years experience in the electronics and software industry in Asia, in hardware and software design, manufacturing and business development for companies based in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and China. He holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the City University, London.
